I’m Vanessa Martin, CPA, the proud owner of Maverick Accounting Solutions, PLLC.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
While pursuing a degree in psychology, I got an offer to take up an entry-level position as a bookkeeper in 2001. I took to the job like a duck to water and soon grew passionate about crunching numbers.
The opportunity led to me getting a position in a CPA firm that provided on-the-job training. I also got a chance to attend Central Washington University to complete my Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, where I graduated with Cum Laude honors in the spring of 2011.
Over the next six years, I continued to successfully carry out accounting for small businesses and render tax consultancy.
However, shortly after my son was born in 2017, I realized that the work-life balance I wanted was unattainable while working for someone else. It inspired me to start an accounting practice at home in May 2019.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve been able to empower people in my community with high-quality accounting solutions at affordable rates. It’s enabled me to establish myself and develop a close rapport beyond the usual accounting services.
Besides, I work with integrity, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my transparency.
I’m also dedicated to rendering impeccable customer service by being approachable and providing a quick response to questions. To me, my clients are more than just a number, and I’m committed to their growth as I believe their success is my success. As a result, when I can help clients save on accounting services and enable them to pay the least amount of tax possible, it fills me with immense satisfaction.
When I’m not applying accounting principles and analyzing financial statements, I love undertaking DIY home improvements.
